London Developer Day to be streamed on the web

Google Developer Day is drawing closer, and we're putting the final touches to the event in London. It looks set to be a great day, with hundreds of developers joining us for workshops, talks and discussion.

For those unable to make it to the event itself, we're pleased to announce you'll be able to watch a live feed from our main room throughout the day. On the 31st May, video will be streamed to this site, kicking off at midday. The schedule of sessions is as follows:

European Keynote with Chris DiBona, Google's open-source program manager, and Ed Parsons, Google Europe's Geo technologist.

Welcome to Developer Day London

Welcome to the homepage of Google Developer Day in London. On the 31st May we'll be joining Google offices around the world in welcoming the developer community for a day of workshops, sharing ideas, and code.

Due to popular demand, we have decided to move the London event to an external venue, which means we'll be able to host more guests and speakers. The event kicks off at 11am at The Brewery in the City of London. We'll begin with our European keynote, shown all round Europe and broadcast live from London, with Chris DiBona, Google's open source guru, and Ed Parsons, our Geospatial Technologist in London.

We'll also have sessions from Peter Birch, lead product manager for Google Earth, Gummi Hafsteinsson, who leads mobile app development, and Giorgio Scherl, Product Manager for Google Maps in Europe. There's also an opportunity to attend talks from a number of external speakers, including Ian Forrester from BBC Backstage. Check out the sessions page for more details.

The Brewery is easy to reach, and only a five minute walk from Barbican tube station. If you're coming from outside of London, you can find nearby hotels on Google Maps here, and it may be worth booking a train ticket now to find the best deal. Please note we are unable to provide parking spaces at the venue.

An attendance confirmation e-mail and form are currently being sent out to those that have registered, with the form needing to be filled out by 22/05. It is important that we get your confirmation as after the 22nd, we may open up unconfirmed spots to our wait list.
